About Us

About Our Power Connection Tools Company

Our Story

American Cordset Industries was established in 1991 in the heart of Mid-America - Elk Grove - a Northwest suburb of Chicago. We pride ourselves in being able to offer a line of services that are as good or even better than our competitors.

ACI is staffed with an experienced Engineering and Sales group which is dedicated to serve your needs. Our plant is equipped with the newest and most modern processing machinery, tooling and testing equipment which provides us the opportunity to supply top quality products at very competitive pricing to our customers with minimum lead time.

We offer more than connector assemblies like cordsets, wiring harness, coiled cord, extension cord, Processed wire and power supply cord.

Our extensive tooling capacity enables us to provide a wide range of products suited to our customers requirements.

ACI's RFQ sheet has been designed to make it easier for your Design Engineers to specify their requirements. It provides a guideline to determine the product desired. Our catalog includes wire description, NEMA configuration, end finishing sketches and packaging methods which will be helpful to insert proper information on the RFQ sheet.

ACI offers a vast variety of insulated and non-insulated terminals that are not listed in our catalog. These standards, working in tandem with a competent, courteous and responsive customer service team, make American Cordset Industries the number one quality source for power connection tools.

Quality Control

Our quality control starts from the quality of raw material and components used in manufacturing our products. These are inspected, tested and ensured that they meet or exceed UL and CSA testing standards.

Our quality control department is fully equipped with all required testing equipment and facilities to perform tests described in UL manual 817. ACI products are 100% tested and inspected for:

  • CONTINUITY
  • SHORT CIRCUITS
  • POLARITY
  • HI-POT WITH 2.5 KV AC OUTPUT 1 SEC
  • VISUAL & PHYSICAL

Our in-process quality control procedure involves production staff working as a team with quality assurance to provide highest quality product for our customers.

We continually monitor and develop our quality control process. SQC and SPC methods are incorporated to improve our product quality.

Every shipment is checked carefully and packed only after it is approved by our Quality Control Staff.
